How a Local Manufacturing Hub In Dongguan Exported to Over 60 Countries in 2025

In 2025, amid global supply chain disruptions and shifting trade dynamics, Dongguan has launched a high-quality development campaign under the theme “Strive in Dongguan · Rise Toward Innovation.” Among the many towns rising to the occasion, Qingxi Town has emerged as a standout example of resilience, innovation, and global outreach.

Responding to Change: Breaking into New Global Markets
As foreign trade becomes more uncertain, companies in Qingxi have responded with bold strategies and product innovation. A leading example is Kaiyi Elevator Co., Ltd., a national high-tech enterprise headquartered in Qingxi. Recently, they secured a major contract worth RMB 40 million from the Russian market and immediately began refining designs to meet the client’s specific requirements.
“We customize our products to suit niche demands and apply technical innovation to reduce costs and enhance efficiency,” said Zhang Yi, Vice President of Product at Kaiyi Elevator. “From Russia to the Middle East, we fine-tune every component and manage elevator life cycles to offer a responsive, customer-first experience.”
With sales to over 60 countries, Kaiyi has built a reputation for quality and reliability. The company’s overseas revenue has been growing at a rate of 30% annually, with expectations to exceed 50% growth in 2025. Their expansion strategy includes both wholly owned subsidiaries and strategic partnerships. These models allow them to provide one-stop solutions, giving them a unique competitive edge in large-scale international projects.
Smart Manufacturing: Empowering “Qingxi Made” Exports
Qingxi’s rise on the global stage has also been powered by a wave of intelligent manufacturing upgrades. Enterprises in the town are adopting digital tools, AI-driven design, and precision machinery to meet international standards.
One such company is Dongguan Yian Technology Co., Ltd., a national “Little Giant” enterprise specializing in liquid metal, magnesium alloys, and biodegradable medical materials. Their recent acquisition of a JSW 3000T thixotropic injection molding machine — the first of its kind in South China — marks a significant leap in production capacity and part precision.
“This machine offers high safety and eco-friendliness, capable of producing dense, high-strength components for telecom, automotive, and medical sectors,” explained Yao Jianjun, Safety Director at Yian Technology.
The company is also a pioneer in the industrialization of bulk metallic glass (BMG) or liquid metal. Their products are widely used in consumer electronics, healthcare devices, and auto parts. With a complete manufacturing chain from material synthesis to surface treatment, Yian has transformed from a traditional factory into a technology leader, setting new benchmarks for “China Smart Manufacturing.”
Government Backing: Precision Services to Boost Foreign Trade
Qingxi’s success is also the result of strategic governance. The local government has focused on stabilizing foreign enterprises and expanding international markets. According to Huang Xuguang, Director of Qingxi’s Economic Development Bureau, the town is targeting a 5% increase in foreign trade, 8% growth in fixed asset investment, and a 5.5% rise in GDP for 2025.
“We’re strengthening industrial clusters, fostering elite enterprises, accelerating the service economy, and building an innovation-friendly ecosystem,” Huang noted.
The bureau has rolled out support measures including participation in major domestic and international expos like “Yue Trade Global,” while actively identifying new opportunities in ASEAN, Russia, and Middle Eastern markets. The goal is to help Qingxi-made products thrive in “Belt and Road” economies and beyond.
A Model for Dongguan’s Global Future
From Kaiyi Elevator’s product customization to Yian Technology’s smart manufacturing breakthroughs, Qingxi Town provides a vivid blueprint for Dongguan’s industrial transformation. Innovation is the central theme, enabling firms to respond faster, produce smarter, and export more effectively.
These companies aren’t just competing on cost — they’re leading with quality, service, and technological strength. In doing so, Qingxi proves that local manufacturing, when powered by global vision and local innovation, can indeed thrive on the world stage.
As Dongguan continues its push for high-quality development, Qingxi stands as a dynamic symbol of how even a single town can help define China’s role in the next phase of globalization.
